Our Coffee's Story

ABOUT US

Our coffee comes from the Altamira Farm, located on the slopes of the Tatamá Natural Park in the municipality of Santuario, Colombia.

This place has been blessed with a wonderful climate and very fertile soils, which contribute to the excellent flavor of our coffee.

At Encantos Café, we're passionate about bringing you coffee that is not only rich in flavor but also rich in heritage. The unique environment of Altamira Farm allows coffee plants to thrive, absorbing the nutrients from fertile volcanic soils and benefiting from the perfect balance of sunlight and rainfall.

    Use 1 tablespoon of coffee per 4 ounces of water. Adjust to your preference.

  • Brew Time:

Our PTA brought in Encantos Cafe at our school today for Teacher Appreciation and it was the best idea ever! The owners are incredibly friendly and the coffee was out of this world! They had a great selection of both hot and cold drinks. They even tailored the foam art to our event.  I cannot recommend them for your event enough. Where does Encantos Café come from?

Our coffee is exclusively sourced from Altamira Farm, located in the volcanic mountains of Santuario, Colombia. We practice a Single Origin philosophy, meaning every bean comes from the same specific region and farm, ensuring consistent quality and a unique flavor profile derived from the nutrient-rich volcanic soil.

Is your coffee Fair Trade?

We go beyond standard certifications by practicing Direct Trade. We have a direct relationship with the farmers at Altamira Farm, cutting out middlemen. This ensures the farmers receive fair compensation above market rates and allows us to guarantee ethical sourcing from farm to cup.

Does the "Rum Rooster" coffee contain alcohol?

No, our Rum Rooster Coffee does not contain alcohol. The green fermented with rum. This process infuses the beans with the rich aroma and notes of oak and molasses, but the alcohol evaporates during the roasting process, leaving only the bold flavor.

How fresh is the coffee I receive?

Freshness is our priority. We roast in small batches to ensure that the coffee you receive is at its peak flavor. We recommend consuming our beans within 4-6 weeks of opening the bag for the best tasting experience.

Do you sell whole bean or ground coffee?

We currently offer Whole Bean coffee to preserve maximum freshness and aroma. Grinding beans just before brewing is the best way to unlock the complex tasting notes of Colombian specialty coffee.

What is the difference between "Honey Process" and regular coffee?

The Honey Process is a unique method where coffee beans are sun-dried with some of their natural mucilage (the sticky fruit layer) still attached. This imparts a distinct, natural sweetness and a fruity body to the cup, without adding any sugar or artificial flavors. It’s perfect for those who enjoy a complex, tea-like profile.
